Carl Winkworth Becomes a Partner at RK&O

Carl Winkworth has joined Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP as a partner as of July 2005 and is a member of the corporate department. Mr. Winkworth regularly represents investment banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions in connection with the acquisition and disposal of loans and securities of distressed and bankrupt or insolvent companies, including accounts receivable, trade claims and bank debt, in the secondary markets both in Europe and in the United States.

Mr. Winkworth has extensive experience advising investors who are seeking to acquire strategic positions in distressed companies, including complex international debt restructurings and reorganizations, particularly in the telecom and power industries.

Mr. Winkworth is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and received his M.A. with honors in Law from Cambridge University.

Mr. Winkworth, together with the other members of the London office, will be working closely with our New York and Washington D.C. offices to provide real-time, result focused advice to investment banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions participating in the European financial markets and the dynamic expansion of corporate investment opportunities in Europe.
