Walker, and Daniel C. Zinman were named 2009 New York Super Lawyers. Only five percent of the lawyers in New York are recognized by Super Lawyers which uses a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by an attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary review.
In her second year as a Super Lawyer, Partner MaryJeanette Dee was recognized for her exemplary work in white collar criminal defense as well as corporate governance and compliance expertise. A graduate of Harvard Law School, MaryJeanette concentrates largely in internal investigations and regulatory and white collar criminal defense.
Also making his second appearance on the list, founding partner Jon Kibbe was recognized for his work in securities and corporate finance legal matters. A New York University School of Law graduate, Jon’s practice concentrates on legal issues surrounding credit structures and credit risk in the fixed income markets.
Michael Mann was selected once again as a Super Lawyer. This comes on the heels of his recent national ranking by Chambers, which described him as one of the “wisest and most versatile tacticians” in complex securities regulatory and enforcement matters. Michael established Richards Kibbe & Orbe’s Washington D.C. office in 1996. A graduate of Antioch School of Law, his practice focuses on international securities regulation and enforcement and the cross-border conduct of business.
Arthur S. Greenspan has been a regular fixture on the list since 2007, this year earning recognition for his securities and business litigation work and white collar criminal defense expertise. Arthur is a graduate of Harvard Law School and focuses his practice in representing financial and other companies and individual executives and financial professionals in securities enforcement and white collar criminal matters and in complex commercial litigation.
William Q. Orbe, also a founding partner of the firm, was recognized as a Super Lawyer in 2009 for his work in mergers and acquisitions and general business and corporate law expertise. William received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and he specializes in investment and financing transactions, including private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, mezzanine capital, and venture capital investments.
Founding partner Lee S. Richards was also recognized for his work in securities and general litigation and white collar criminal defense work. A graduate of Columbia Law School, Lee concentrates in white collar criminal defense, securities enforcement defense, regulatory proceedings, internal investigations and complex commercial litigations.
James Walker’s work in corporate governance and compliance as well as white collar criminal defense earned him a spot on this year’s list. James graduated from Yale Law School and represents audit committees and their directors, corporate officers, and securities industry and other professionals under investigation. James is also the firm's General Counsel.
Daniel C. Zinman concentrates his practice in regulatory proceedings, internal investigations, white collar criminal defense matters and commercial litigations and was recognized this year for his business and securities litigation work as well as his white collar criminal defense expertise. Daniel is a graduate of Fordham University’s School of Law.
