In April 2010, Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP partner Eva Marie Carney co-presented a webcast titled “SEC Examinations of Investment Advisers” with Joel Sauer of the ACA Compliance Group. Following the webcast, The Hedge Fund Law Report published an article reporting on Ms. Carney's and Mr. Sauer's recommendations with respect to how SEC-registered advisers can best prepare for and effectively manage an SEC examination and on the presenters' views on the most common areas of focus during examinations.
