Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP partner Brian S. Fraser was quoted in the Palm Beach Daily News article "Credit Rating Changes, New Rules to Take Effect on Municipal Bonds." The article explains that the recently adjusted municipal bond ratings system, which allow municipalities to borrow at lower interest rates, will mean less return for lenders. Mr. Fraser warns that these ratings, now adjusted to a global scale, will not convey as much information about the financial condition of a municipality as they used to.
