Miriam Karam practices in the firm’s Corporate & Finance Transactions department, and specializes in Distressed Debt & Claims Trading. Ms. Karam frequently represents investment banks, broker dealers and other financial institutions, including hedge funds on the trading of domestic and international syndicated bank loans, debt instruments and distressed assets, in particular insolvency claims.

Ms. Karam has extensive experience in the review and analysis of credit documentation in a variety of sectors and specializes in the LMA secondary trading documentation. Ms. Karam represents clients on the purchase and sale of par and distressed loans and bonds of borrowers domiciled in the UK, US, Asia and Europe including France, Germany, Spain and Italy. Ms. Karam also advises clients in connection with claims trading in Lehman, MF Global and has extensive experience representing the creditors of the insolvent Icelandic banks.

Ms. Karam is also a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee.
