Rachel Mechanic practices in the Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on representing and advising institutional and individual clients in complex civil litigations at the federal and state level, as well as defending against investigations by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, among numerous other governmental and regulatory bodies.

Previously, Ms. Mechanic was Assistant General Counsel at J.P. Morgan Chase, where she was responsible for overseeing government and internal investigations and regulatory enforcement matters. Ms. Mechanic also served as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, and as a law clerk to the Honorable Edgardo Ramos of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
