I chose RK&O because of the firm’s reputation for excellence – providing the highest quality advice in a client-focused environment in which all of the firm’s attorneys are single-mindedly focused on getting the best results possible for our clients. While this is what attracted me initially to the firm, I have stayed because of the many relationships I have developed over the years with lawyers and staff at every level of our firm. I believe we have an unmatched culture that emphasizes collaboration, openness and respect.
I am a partner in the Washington, DC, office and my practice focuses on securities enforcement, regulatory investigations and complex cross-border litigation and regulatory matters, particularly in Latin America. I represent public companies, financial services firms and their officers and directors in connection with investigations before the Securities & Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and numerous other domestic and foreign regulatory and government bodies.
Prior to joining RK&O, I was Senior Regional Counsel at Citigroup, where I was responsible for regulatory, litigation and corporate matters involving Latin America. I also served as a trial attorney in the Office of International Affairs, U.S. Department of Justice and was a partner at an international law firm based in Washington, DC.
I earned my J.D. cum laude from University of Michigan Law School and my B.A. summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University.
