RK&O partner Shari A. Brandt was named a 2018 Litigation Trailblazer by The National Law Journal. This list recognized 25 outstanding attorneys, selected from hundreds of nominees, who continue to leave their mark in litigation.

Ms. Brandt was recognized for her work on many headline cases in the financial sector, including representing a bank in the Enron matter and representing senior officers from Tyco and ImClone, and her involvement in matters regarding municipal bond issuances and due diligence around RMBS.  Most recently, her practice has involved cross-border investigations and litigation on financial benchmarks.  She expects her practice to expand as new benchmarks surface.  "That brings to bear a whole host of issues, including jurisdiction. Plaintiffs are trying to determine where they can sue," she said.  “U.S. courts have a different set of standards, and there is a weighing of need versus burden. The courts are saying not to worry because there has never been a prosecution.”
