A group of insurers and PG&E Corp. have reportedly reached an agreement to settle wildfire claims against the utility for $11 billion, far below the $20 billion the insurers had originally sought in bankruptcy court.

RK&O partner Gregory Plotko discussed this development with the San Francisco Chronicle, stating that the settlement is, "a major step forward to achieving a plan of reorganization."
